Give clients the option to pay with their refund

Give your clients a great way to pay for tax preparation, while offering safe and convenient ways to receive their refund amount. Charge what you need and we will collect all authorized fees from the taxpayer’s refund amount, and your fees are direct deposited into your bank account.*

 

REFUND TRANSFER

With the Refund Transfer (RT), the IRS deposits the taxpayer’s federal tax refund into an account setup by TPG. Your tax preparation fees are deducted from the refund amount, and the balance is disbursed to your client by one of the disbursement methods listed below. According to the IRS website, most refunds are disbursed in less than 21 days, but funding times may vary depending on IRS processing procedures.

STATE REFUND TRANSFER

​

Taxpayers may also request that the state taxing authority deposit their state refund to their Federal RT account. Once the state refund amount is received, the money is made available to your client by the same disbursement method chosen for the Federal product. Funding times vary by state. As a service to you, TPG withholds fees from the first refund received (either state or Federal).

DEPOSIT

RT proceeds may be direct deposited into your client’s checking or savings account. Funds are disbursed immediately upon IRS or state funding, reaching your client’s bank account in 1-2 business days.


 

CASHIER’S CHECK

​

When IRS or state funding is received, print checks directly from your computer through your tax software. Our checks may be cashed at Walmart and Wells Fargo for $10 or less.
